I'll overwhelm 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
